standing in the shower with my socks on. he threw me in. faces dripping. wet skin. it's hard to hold on to slippery skin. the dog asleep on the towel in the floor. the mirror was fogged and the steam was heavy in the room. i'm finding it hard to get over the water drops on his eyelashes and his cheeks and lips. i'm finding it hard to forget the cold of the shower wall against my back as he balanced me against it and told me he loved me with kisses.

i liked the way he smiled and said "look at you" when i had finished drying my hair and my cheeks were pink from the warmth.

i can never believe how fast time goes by when i'm with him.
